Biographie: Rami Langar received the M.S. degree in network and computer science from the University of Pierre and Marie Curie in 2002; and the Ph.D degree in network and computer science from Telecom ParisTech, Paris, France, in 2006. In 2007 and 2008, he was with the School of Computer Science, University of Waterloo, ON, Canada, as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow. He is currently an Associate Professor at the LIP6, University of Pierre and Marie Curie, Paris, France. He obtained his HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches) in 2013. His research interests include mobility and resource management in wireless mesh, vehicular ad-hoc and femtocell networks, cloud radio access networks, green networking, performance evaluation and quality-of-service support. He is author of more than 50 papers published in leading conference proceedings and journals. He is elected as Secretary of the IEEE ComSoc Technical Committee on Information Infrastructure and Networking (TCIIN) for the period Jan. 2014 - Dec. 2015. He has served as a Co-Chair of the IEEE ICC’12 Ah Hoc, Mesh, and Sensor Networking Symposium, Technical Program Committee (TPC) Co-Chair of the third international conference on Network of the Future (NoF’12), and the third international workshop UBIROADS’11, Posters Co-Chair of the IEEE GIIS’11, Tutorial Chair of the IEEE GIIS’09 and as the TPC member for many international conferences, including IEEE ICC, GLOBECOM, PIMRC and VTC. He is also a reviewer on a regular basis for major international journals and conferences in networking. Dr. Langar is a member of IEEE and IEEE Communication Society. | |
