This document summarizes the work done during the first stage of Work Package 1 (WP1) (Global Service Ubiquity). The objective of WP1 is to investigate the technical and economical viability of the SUMO project concept, by defining the business environment and the technical framework supporting the project. To obtain this objective, in this first stage of the project we define and examine novel scenarios. Each scenario is subdivided in separate use cases describing scenario components at a technical level, and forming the basis for definition of system requirements. These system requirements are the input for basic architecture of SUMO. Aditionally each uses gives enablers for SUMO business model. Cost-benefit analysis of these enablers gives us the first inputs for business proposition of SUMO.
