This paper addresses the problem of node localization for geographical routing protocols in wireless ad hoc networks. Two types of nodes are considered: nodes with self-locating capability like GPS and nodes with no self-locating capability. We show that our nodes selecting methods improve the accuracy of the simple nodesNULLs estimated position. Our methods consist of selecting and processing only the nodes that are likely to enhance the position estimation. We focus our approach on defining cluster heads and a hull of neighboring nodes as keys of position accuracy enhancement.
